31.Okt 2011 Der ÖWWV plant für 2012 wieder die Durchführung eines Instruktor-Kurses „Wasserski und Wakeboard“ an der Bundessportakademie Linz. Die Ausbildung dauert 3 Wochen und wird geblockt in Linz auf der Gugl durchgeführt, d.h. als Kurstermine ergeben sich insgesamt drei Blöcke jeweils von Montag bis Sonntag am Anfang bzw. Ende des Sommers (Mai/Juni und September/Oktober).

With 164 competitors from 21 nations, it was the most visited EM ever. Probably because next year the IOC will decide if Cable Wakeboarding goes to Olympia in 2020.

Over 2.000 spectators came, I was as impressed as the riders, media and sponsors. Those many hours of work I put in that event payed off. It was a big pleasure to see that the concept which I worked out over the winter for Energie AG and Red bull, finally became reality and worked out so good.
30. June 2011 58 competitors in 6 categories split up 2.000 € picemoney and non-cash-prices worth 3.000 € . The stress free jamsession/best trick format guaranteed permanent action on the water with in a compact competition duration.
2. Juli 2011 Bruno Rixen the inventor of the first cableway celebrated his 80th birthday and 50th anniversary of rixen cableways. It was beautiful to see how fit and healthy Bruno is, he even did a few laps on the cable himself. There were 10.000 € pricemoney at the competiton ...
It was the highest level of riding ever shown on a austrian nationals but I still managed to defend my titel again. The current medal collection stand is: 7x gold + 2x silver on the cable and 2x silver on the boat.

Seasonstart with new boat
23.Märch 2011 3 days earlier then last year, we start our season and this time with a brand new Malibu Wakesetter VLX. It was the first Malibu shipped over to europe becaus it was also shown at the big Boat Expo in Düsseldorf, so it got all the fanci extras too. Thank you so much to Malibu Europe and Malibu Austria aka "Edi" for the big support.
24.February 2010 They got 2x Rixen Cableways + 1x Rixen Bro, they will open for puplic in april 2011. I got a little tour, they showed me the whole Al Forsan Komplex which inluces Gokart, Shooting, Equestrian. The rest of the 5 days we spent on Boat Riding, a Dessert Trip and Clubbing. Definitly I will be back.
