20.Dec.2012 As Riders Representative I had the big honor, to present Wakeboarding for the first time in front of the International Olympic Committee at the Headquarter in Lausanne Swiss. It was a historical and important moment for the whole sport and industry. The final decision, if we will be at the Olympics in 2020, will be announced in Sept. 2013 in Buenos Aires. If its NO, in 4 years time, is the next chance.

I am very honored and proud that the majority of 210 Riders from 31 countries at the Worlds in Philippines elected me as the Riders Representative into the World Cable Council. Over there I will reflect the view and the need of a rider and will give a valuable contribution to improve wakeboard events in future.

Österreich hat einen Weltmeister, Gratulation an Gerald Maurer der die Goldene bei den Masters (Ü30) nach Hause holte. Astrid machte den hervorragenden 5ten Platz bei den Damen. Timo Kapl (Boys U15) und Philip Turba (Junioren U18) erreichten jeweils den 6ten Platz.

Im Oktober 2012 verbrachte ich 4 Tage zum Unterrichten, Filmen und Shreden am neuen Gold Cable in Alanya! Dieser wurde im Juni 2012 von Igor gebaut, einem netten Russen der in Alanya lebt. Nachdem sich Igor beim Waken in Hip Notics angefixt hat,

Es war die erste EM auf einem links Cable. Etwas gewöhnungsbedürftig für die meisten Fahrer, noch dazu war es nicht der höchste Cable, aber wie man im Finale gesehen hat, ginge fast alle tricks, von KGbs bis Raley5s, etc. Vor allem die Kicker hatten es in sich und man sah einige Double Backrolls, 900s und Co.

Nach seinem Winter Aufenthalt in Thailand ging Philip Turba (18J) bestückt mit neuen fetten Tricks als Top Favorit ins Rennen. Philip gewann auch gleich souverän die Quali dicht gefolgt von mir. Es war das erste mal das es beim Cable Wakeboarden einen Worlcup Stop gegeben hatte. Und dann gleich mit soviel Preisgeld. Es wurden 100.000 dollar ausgeschüttet an 44 Fahrern aus 21 Ländern. Qualifizieren konnte man sich nur über die aktuelle Worldranking Position,
